​TENNESSEE CRAFT MIDSTATE

Tennessee Craft is the only statewide organization dedicated to connecting and supporting fine craft artists. Through scholarships, master apprenticeships, and professional development opportunities—as well as signature annual exhibitions and two renowned craft fairs—we foster artistic growth and create pathways for independent artists to thrive. Our work not only benefits our members but also enriches the broader arts community and the public. Every Tennessee Craft member is part of a local chapter, ensuring access to region-specific resources and opportunities. We envision a Tennessee where all craft artists have the access, opportunities, and tools to share and amplify their stories, cultures, and experiences.
The Midstate Chapter welcomes artists from the following counties: Stewart, Montgomery, Robertson, Sumner, Trousdale, Houston, Cheatham, Humphreys, Dickson, Davidson, Wilson, Williamson, and Rutherford.  ​

​Tennessee Craft Midstate Chapter offers additional scholarships as well as local networking and professional development opportunities that include:
  • Monthly Maker Meet-Ups - these gatherings have included demonstrations, panel discussions, and hands-on experiences.
  • ​Quarterly Coffee & Crafts - an informal opportunity to connect with groups of fellow craft artists; this is typically a weekend event - times and locations will vary
  • Member Exhibitions - juried and non-juried opportunities made possible by partnerships with local arts organizations and programs, such as Centennial Arts Center, Arts at the Airport and Nashville Public Library.
  • Midstate Scholarships - scholarships to aid professional development.

​Join Tennessee Craft and become an important part of our 200+ member chapter community. Membership is open to creators and collectors and makers from novice to master.

Artist-members produce handmade work in a variety of media such as,  basketry, books, clay, fiber, furniture, glass, leather, metal, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, fiber/textile and wood.
